Seacliffe

Went out for dinner on Saturday night with a group of people who I've met, had an absolutely lovely time.  I ate a bit of kangaroo which was delicious and priced very reasonably.  These pictures were the view from just outside the restaurant.  Stunning!

What a giggle was had by all.  I've been surprised this week to hear the phrase 'feeling like a shag on a rock' this week which, tickled me.   Luckily, it was used to say what the person would feel like if something happened, they weren't feeling like one.  There's no chance of me feeling like that with all the great friends I've made.   Fun times with good friends, delicious food.  Below the gorgeous Marian, music teacher extraordinaire.

The only thing I don't like about Australia is the poisonous animals.  Just after getting some washing in the other night, I noticed a red lump on my arm.  By morning, it looked like this.  The many doctors at CLG persuaded me to go to a real doctor who confirmed that it could be any of the above or a bee!  Itches like mad & is boiling.  Have a script for antibiotics but don't want to take them unless I have to so will give it a few days & see if it settles.

  1. Hi Hilary reading your blog has brought back lots of memories of my aussie adventure with my family.

Saw an article about what you are doing in the NAS UWT magazine so was interested to get a closer look. Keep the blog going; it serves as a fantastic reminder for an unforgettable year. We were never to keen on the poisonous animals either.

  2. So glad all is going well and you are living there and loving it all. Have you learned how to teach music as well? Not that you didn't know before but inspiration is half the job. Listen girl, time is going fast, enjoy it all....

  3. Rachel - The lovely blonde lady I'm pictured with above is the specialist music teacher at the school - she's brilliant so music is something I'm not having to worry about which is great because, as you know it's not one of my strengths.
