17 Days to go!

Well, the trIp is really heading towards me at breakneck speed!  I've started my mamouth cleaning task during the hottest days of the year so - typical.  I must just keep focused on the weather that'll be over in Adelaide - I'm sure the temperature here will seem poor when I'm sunning myself on Christmas day!
Anyway, I've cleaned the whole of the downstairs floor and the odd jobs are being done today so things are really starting to fall into place.  It certainly feels good to clean and clear things.
I've been checking out the school that I'll be going to, it really is so much bigger than little old Tysoe.  It's currently at capacity which is 680 and has a waiting list and a system in place to ensure that all ch'ildren who live in the catchment area of the school get first refusal of places.
I'm still unsure how I'm going to manage with just 20kg of luggag.  I've already put 2 suitcases full of things into storage but think that what I have left will still weigh more than 20kg.  It's a good job there are plenty of shops over there!

22 days to go!

All my paperwork is in place and I've started packing up the house - all my winter clothes are packed away now, the winter over in Adelaide is very similar to over here at the moment but it's their winter.  Think it could be rather hot!
I can't quite believe my adventure is almost upon me!  I'm beginning to get a little excited now!  Term is about to end so that gives me 3 weeks to pack up the rest of my things & sort out all those little jobs around the house.  Bulk cleaning shop is in order!
I've spoken to my exchange partner via e-mail quite a lot, it's really good to be in contact with her as I'm sure she's feeling very similar to me.  The feelings change from overwhelmed to excited to nervous, mainly excited now though :-)
I can't wait to live by the ocean.
This is the beach just down the road from where I'm going to be living!  I really think I might be able to get used to it!
I really am looking forward to living by the beach, it's going to be amazing...the best thing I've ever done in my professional life!
